Note: Figures for the number of children in toothbrushing programmes (STPs) were reported jointly in four cases (Hackney and City of London; Plymouth and Devon; Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale and Salford; Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster). These figures were divided between the respective local authorities based on population proportion (population of a given local authority as a proportion of the total population for the group of local authorities reporting figures jointly). Six local authorities were also supplemented with data based on knowledge or estimates of the size of these programmes. These included: County Durham, Rotherham, Hull, Wakefield, Worcestershire and Cornwall.
