Information for Providers

Providers of supervised toothbrushing programmes can be oral health promotion teams, dental practices, charities, or social enterprise organisations and play a key role in ensuring their safe and effective delivery. Responsibilities include training staff, particularly in infection prevention, offering implementation advice, supplying resources, and ensuring the toothpaste used is suitable for all children. They must also inform parents, provide consent materials, and monitor adherence to guidelines at each setting annually with all activities being properly documented by the team within the district.
